Revamping a Local Rugby Club: A Community-Focused Transformation

In July 2022, Elect Building and Maintenance partnered with Portico Panthers Rugby Club to modernize their facilities in St Helens. The project included installing a new boiler and LTHW hot water system, along with associated pipework, radiators, LED lighting controls, and electrical distribution. The LED lighting setup, featuring 600x600 light fittings and vapor-proof lights in the changing rooms, was designed for optimal efficiency and adherence to required standards.

Our team also ensured that the electrical systems were designed for ease of maintenance, providing long-term cost savings for the club. Safety and compliance were top priorities throughout, with all works meeting fire regulations, building control, and BS7671 standards. Ongoing communication and a dedicated site manager kept the project on track, while community open days allowed local residents to engage with the progress.

Upon completion, the rugby club benefited from state-of-the-art facilities, enhanced comfort, and energy efficiency, setting a new benchmark for local sports infrastructure.
